Simone Buitendijk to take up appointment at Imperial College London

Professor Simone Buitendijk, Vice-Rector Magnificus at Leiden University and member of the Steering Group of the LERU Vice-Rectors for Learning and Teaching Community, will be taking up a new position as Vice-Provost (Education) at Imperial College London on 1 August 2016. 

Simone Buitendijk has been responsible for the portfolios of education, PhD policy and diversity at Leiden University since September 2011. Buitendijk will keep a position as honorary professor at the LUMC, also with a view to strengthening the cooperation between Leiden University and Imperial College, both members of the League of European Research Universities.
