Improving the social security of internationally mobile researchers

I Stock 621358098 2

Researchers’ mobility is a crucial element for academic progress, however, it is often hindered, i.e. by the complicated character of the EU coordination regulations. Through this paper LERU pursues an improvement to the researchers’ situation and focuses on e.g. third country researchers, however, LERU knows that there is only a limited room for solutions. Firstly, a brief discussion of the regulatory background is given. Secondly, different obstacles regarding the international mobility of researches are discussed. Thirdly, a framework is built upon which solution can be found. Finally, LERU proposes a set of recommendations.
